Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' and 'Jigra' clashed at the box office on October 11. Both the movies have underperformed and that also perhaps could be due to the last two days of Navratri. 'Vicky Vidya..' though always did have an edge over 'Jigra' from day 1 as it appealed more to the mass centres while the latter is niche meant for the multiplex audiences.

The Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri starrer opened at around Rs 5 crore, and eventually had a three-day first weekend total of Rs 18 crore. It started seeing a drop gradually from Monday onwards. It made in the Rs 2 crore range on Monday and Tuesday each and now, on day 6, which is Wednesday, the movie has minted Rs 1.85 crore, thus seeing a further drop. The total collection of the film so far now stands at Rs 25.15 crore according to Sacnilk.

With this pace, the trade predicts that the film may end up having a lifetime collection of Rs 40 crore and that also seems difficult.

Meanwhile, the total collection of 'Jigra' now stands at Rs 21.10 crore. There is no new release this Friday, but there are two old films re-releasing on October 18 - 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' and 'Singham Again'. It would be interesting to see if these re-releases pose as a competition to 'Jigra' and 'Vicky Vidya...'. Or else, both the movies despite dull numbers may get the benefit of the weekend since last Saturday was Dussehra and the garba fever had completely taken over the feeling of going to a theatre and watch a film.

Up till November 1, when 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' will release, 'Jigra and 'Vicky Vidya...' will still get more chances to make some money.
