It was a moment of immense pride for the entire country when Virat Kohli scored his 50th ODI century at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium during India's World Cup semifinal match against New Zealand. Anushka Sharma was over the moon, and a candid moment captured the Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, congratulating her for her husband's remarkable achievement.

In a throwback picture, Sachin was seen patting Anushka's back as the actress beamed with pride and joy, receiving compliments from the cricket legend.

As Virat scored his 50th century, the actress clapped and blew flying kisses to him. The cricketer reciprocated by blowing kisses back and taking a bow before Sachin. Virat had broken the long-standing World Cup record that had stood for 20 years.

Sachin also took to social media to congratulate Virat on becoming the first player in history to smash 50 ODI centuries. In his Instagram post, Sachin wrote, "The first time I met you in the Indian dressing room, you were pranked by other teammates into touching my feet. I couldn’t stop laughing that day. But soon, you touched my heart with your passion and skill. I am so happy that that young boy has grown into a ‘Virat’ player. I couldn’t be happier that an Indian broke my record. And to do it on the biggest stage - in the World Cup Semi-Final - and at my home ground is the icing on the cake."

In the match, Virat scored 117 runs off 113 balls, with his knock consisting of nine fours and two sixes. He scored his runs at a strike rate of over 103 before being eventually dismissed by Tim Southee.

Virat is now the third-highest run-scorer in all of Cricket World Cup history. In 36 matches, he has scored 1,731 runs at an average of 61.46, with the best score of 117. He has scored five centuries in his WC career so far, with 11 fifties as well.

Virat and Anushka are currently proud parents of two beautiful children - daughter Vamika and son Akaay.
