Saif Ali Khan is currently basking in the success of his Tollywood movie ‘Devara: Part 1,’ starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. He worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Nikkhil Advani's ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho,’ where he was the second lead in the 2003 film. He once revealed that SRK was responsible on set, as the lead actor always has a ‘little extra’ to do.
During an old chat with Film Companion, Saif recalled how supportive SRK was. In a candid reflection on his experiences during the filming of ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho,’ Saif shared insights into the responsibilities of a lead actor. He emphasised the importance of going above and beyond in their role, particularly in supporting production efforts.
Working closely with Shah Rukh, Saif gained a deeper understanding of the commitment and demeanor required to succeed in a lead role, highlighting the collaborative spirit necessary in filmmaking. “I was working very closely with Shah Rukh Khan, and I kind of got an idea of what a main lead has to do—a little extra,” he added. When he finally made his entrance, everyone gathered around him, showcasing their admiration and excitement. Mahima affectionately referred to Shah Rukh as a "workshop," highlighting his immense talent and the wealth of knowledge he brings to the filmmaking process.
