The UEFA Champions League final offers French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) a chance to script history as they face Inter Milan in Munich, Germany. PSG have never won the European tournament despite coming close in the final of the 2020 edition, where they were beaten by Bayern Munich.
Inter Milan haven't won the tournament since 2010, where they defeated Bayern in the final under Jose Mourinho. The Italians have reached the final only once since, in 2023, going down to Manchester City who scripted history by winning the European title for the first time.

Road to the final
PSG started their Champions League campaign on a turbulent note in the league stage but pulled off a late comeback to progress to the play-off, where they thumped fellow Ligue 1 side Brest (10-0 aggregate).
The Luis Enrique-led side needed penalties to go past Liverpool in the Round of 16 before dealing with some tricky moments against Aston Villa. In the semi-final they faced another English side but had an easier time, beating Arsenal in the semi-final. Ousmane Dembele (8 goals) has been the French side's top goal-scorer.
Inter's road to the knockouts has been quite impressive, recording just one loss and one draw in the revamped league stage.
However, things turned quite tense from that point, After comfortably going past Feyenoord (4-1), they had a tight 4-3 win against Bayern Munich in the quarter-final.
The Italians had to dig deeper in their semi-final encounter against Barcelona which finished 7-6 on aggregate following a late-winner by Davide Frattesi in extra time.
Lautaro Martinez is Inter's top goal-scorer in the ongoing Champions League season, having smashed nine goals.
Inter are unbeaten in their last eight Champions League matches, recording only one defeat in the ongoing edition of the tournament.
