Why are baseball fans hating on Juan Soto? When the New York Mets signed Juan Soto, they expected him to be the superstar player and bring in good numbers. Fans expected the same, but, the MLB 2025 season started and Soto is seen struggling.

Well, when you sign a player for $765 Million, and he doesn’t perform as per expectations, fans will start to troll him brutally. Besides, his 0-for-3 performance against the Cardinals on April 17, has again opened the can of worms.

NFL analyst, and former MLB author, John Frascella tweeted,

“I have never seen a superstar become a non-MLB player so quickly. Something is really, terribly wrong. He needs time off. For real.”

He was not alone, as there were several fans portraying the same sentiments. Another user went on to say “He doesn’t care he got paid” indicating that Soto only joined Mets for the money.
