Acquired in a blockbuster trade that also brought Mitch Haniger to Seattle, Segura quickly lived up to his nickname in the Pacific Northwest—“Jean, Jean, the hitting machine.” He posted a .302 batting average, with 7.1 bWAR, and made the 2018 American League All-Star team.
